Really fun and very diverse |
I'm a huge fan of word games, and I love Scrabble (but the complex scoring system can be a pain when you're not playing it on a computer). I found Bananagrams to be great because it is simply a bunch of letter tiles, no point system, just based on how fast a player can come up with words and get rid of their tiles the fastest. Another great thing is that you can play many variations of the game, such as:
-As in the instructions, where each player takes a set number of tiles and tries to make their own crossword puzzle as fast as possible before the other players have completed theirs.
-A Speed Scrabble version where each player takes a set number of tiles and everyone takes turns adding words to a single crossword. The player who gets rid of their tiles first wins.
-A single-player game in which the player takes 1 tile out at a time from the banana and tries to make the biggest crossword puzzle using all the tiles.
And i'm a sucker for the cute Banana pouch the tiles come in! This game is really great for on-the-go. I'm definitely taking it with me on my next trip to the airport! |

Best game in years! |

A friend introduced me to Banagrams about a couple of years ago. I love it. Best part is that you can play for 10 minutes or all day. Really important to get a Scrabble Dictionary to have on hand. |

This game sucks |

This is the most boring game EVER. I wish I had read the reviews first, I wasted my money. No point value, no competition, you play alone. Hated it. Play Scrabble, Upwords.......both fun. Wish I could give it a negative rating. And yeah Midwest GUY, I know it's for more than one person, you totally missed the point. You don't play against someone. You do all the forming of words for yourself, can't even play off of someone's words. Boring. |
