CRACKED MY KINDLE |

DO not buy. This cover caused my kindle to crack and Thechildspot will not stand behind hit because it is not an "approved" cover, yet they sell it on amazon. |

One of the hood's broke off my cover and is now inside my Kindle and my kindle no longer works............. |

One of the hooks that holds the kindle in place has broken off inside my kndle and my kindle no longer works!!! Now I am out my original kindle investment AND the $120 cost of this cover. I am going to call Thechildspot but I'm sure it will go nowhere. I have had my kindle since the original shipment date in February of 2009 and purchased the regular Cole Haan cover. This cover was looking a little ragged so I decided to splurge this past March on this beautiful Cole Haan cover and I am so MAD and ANGRY right now words can not not describe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

The cover is too bulky and does not have a closure strap. It cannot fold backwards while reading. It is not as comfortable as the Kindle cover. |

Not a good idea |
In the photos, this cover looks so shiny, candy apple red. In real life, it's more off red. And the texture of the patent leather strips is reptile, which just doesn't look quite right. It's not at all what I expected visually.
Then there's the size. It makes your slim Kindle a heck of a lot fatter.
What do I like? The woven strips, in perhaps another texture or color, and the inside pocket.
If I had to do it again, I wouldn't buy it. |

So sad. I loved this cover until one of the clasps broke that hold the kindle into the cover. Its not often that you take the kindle in and out of the cover, but when you do beware!!!!!! There can be faults in the construction of the clips and they can fall off! And there is no way to replace it through amazon after 30 days( I never took mine out untill 4 months later, so 30 days isnt much time.) and Cole Haan wont work with me because they say I can only go through Thechildspot. Seems both companies play a nasty game! Looks like I will have to pay another $119.00 if I want another one like the first that I loved so much! Not sure its worth the gamble of it happening again! |
