Jillian Michael’s Fitness Ultimatum 2009 is the first game of its type to combine a celebrity fitness trainer with the Wii and innovative Wii Balance Board accessory to offer you a fun and entertaining way to get fit. Under Jillian’s expert guidance, you can pursue a focused workout that helps you reach your fitness goals through rigorous, branching exercise routines, and multiple difficulty levels that will get you in the best shape of your life! As a new recruit at Jillian’s boot camp, enroll in her unique training program and be challenged to an ever-changing series of workouts and fitness tests.
Choose your workout from four types: Gear your workout to suit your goals when you choose either Weight Loss, Strength Training, Intervals, and Hill Climb modes. Set the intensity of your exercise routine to suit your pace: Light,Medium or Hard, then dictate workout length: 5, 10, 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes. Start each workout on the track by running down the Physical Training (PT) course of the training base in a series of judged challenges for up to 3 minutes. Motion-based fitness activities include: running obstacle courses, balance beam, hand car, rowing/paddling, crossing monkey bars, punching bags, and more.
Go Solo or Head-to-Head: Choose your challenge from branching paths to dictate your own activity. Each challenge has three levels of difficulty, requiring progressively more motion and a harder workout (warm-up, target zone, cool-down, etc.) Competitive Campfire Mode lets two players race against each other through individual challenges or the entire PT course to see who can burn more calories.

It's just plain bad. |
|
I was one of the poor slobs who pre-ordered this in 2009 when it came out. The reason that it's a year later and I'm only writing this review now is because I forgot about it. It was so bad that I used it two or three times before unceremoniously tossing it aside. The "game" includes several workouts designed around a boot camp--balancing on logs, etc. and tips from Jillian. There were many times that I did an exercise only to realize that my character was exercising on her own. I stopped and watched her go. This isn't poor response time/lag, there is NO response. It is just a poorly desinged game intended to cash in on the Biggest Loser craze. I agree with other reviewers who said that if they were Jillian, they'd have their names removed from this product. If you are interested in a good workout product made for the Wii/Wii Fit, I would suggest Active by Electronic Arts. |

I love this work out! |
|
I see so many bad reviews on this game I just have to give some good feedback. I love this work out! The graphics are not the best as most all of the Wii games are like that. We have the Motion Plus controllers and maybe that helps. I do sometimes have a hard time getting it to register my moves but once I figure out the move it is no longer a problem. So it does take some adjusting and playing with but it is well worth it! If you are looking for a game this is not really for you. But if you are looking to get into shape and or loose weight this game is great. I would suggest this to my friends and family and think it is well worth the money spent on it. |

Yeah, could of been better. |
|
I bought this game today. It does give you a mini-work out. I don't think you ought to go out and blow 29.00 bucks. I'm sure it will be down in the 15.00 range soon. It looks cool upon the opening menu. But it definitely lags in the graphic department. So, yeah, I really wish that the ARMY or Airforce or something would come out with a full blown Wii Balance board boot camp/game area or something a little bit better than this.I'm sure that the Biggest Looser people could get better graphics that actually really do keep in time with your actual movements. The Wii Fit Balance is a lot better. (Okay, this the worst review I've ever written, but really, it is not for serious gamers. Maybe someone who is just starting out in fit by gaming land.) (I did like the main entrance that looked like boot camp). |

If I could give it zero stars, I would...don't waste your money! |
|
This is one of the worst things I've ever purchased. I have a couple other wii fit type games and this is awful. Truly, don't waste your money. The exercises are monotonous and you can literally sit on the couch and get the remote to "do" the exercises. Awful. I'd be ashamed to have my name on this if I was Jillian. |

HOLY CRAP!!!!! |
here's a cheat code for the game....you ready? run in place on the balance board throw quick little jabs. That's the whole game. You'll expend more energy finding that out than doing the work-outs.
- rowing: running in place
- jumping to different logs: running in place
- jog: running in place( the faster you go does not change avitars speed) |
