Loving that giraffe! |
I bought two of these giraffes for my grandson after reading a review on [...]. I thought it would be a kick to spoil him with a "celebrity" toy and give my kids a laugh. I bought two so he would have one at home and one at grandma's house. Well, where the baby goes, the giraffe goes. The second is still in the box.
The feel of this toy is so much nicer than most squeezable toys you buy today. Probably because it's real rubber. It was easy for the baby early on to handle it and chew it. I like knowing the paint on it is food paint. The squeak is a gentle noise, not too abrasive.
Definitely pricey for a teething toy, but great for a grandma who likes to spoil! |

My daughter LOVES this giraffe. She's 6 months and has been chewing up Sophie since she was about 3 months. She likes to chew on her face too! The rubber is soft on her gums unlike the hard plastic teethers and Sophie is pliable so she can move and manipulate her easily. She smiles when Sophie squeaks!
The only drawback is that it closely resembles a dog toy so our dogs are always aware of where Sophie is because they as well would like to chew her up! Our pretty aggressive chewer did get ahold of her once and she survived so she's one tough Giraffe!
If Sophie gets wet the squeaker will stop working temporarily - just let her dry out and she'll start squeaking again!
This is our go to baby shower present now! I'm a bit of a shopaholic and have tried ALOT of baby products out, this is by far our favorite (so far)! |

I was skepticle about paying $20 for a rubber giraffe that squeaks. But after getting it, my girl loves to chew on the legs. It keeps her content when her gums are bothering her. |
