Excellent, my 2 year old loves it! |
I don't think this is poorly made at all! My 2year old son adores it, the track and train have been thrown around many times and everything is still together and in working order. I agree that the figures do not fit in the pegs on the train, but that is the only negative.
Am planning to buy the whole set! |

cheaply made |

i also ordered this for my grandson and he was very excited to receive it..if i didn't have to spend my entire day putting the figures back into the train cars it would be a great toy for him...the little hole in the foot is too small and they constantly fall over when the train is moving. i am seriously considering gluing laura into her car!!!although my grandson loves it i will not be spending any more of my money on cheap plastic trains when he has just as much fun with thomas which are a much beter quality made toy!!! |

Does the job |
Most exciting feature of this product is that when my child presses the smoke stack, it provides great sounds: the conducter saying, "Time tunnel; next stop the cretaceous time period, etc," as well as part of the Dinosaur Train theme song. Hoping this feature will last as long as the toy does - won't become inaudible over time.
The trains are easy for my 4-year old to remove and attach without constantly coming apart; so, that's nice. It's a good toy for the price. My son loves it (took it to preschool to show his teacher and friends). As I have mentioned in other reviews, the action figures do not stand up (or stay standing up) very well and can be very frustrating, but there's no other options out there (not interested in interactive dinos or plush ones). |

Junk! |

After reading the dimensions online (about 2" x 2"), I decided to check this out in the store first, and I'm glad that I did. It's very small and looks poorly made. My kids love the PBS show, but there is no way that I'm wasting my money on this piece of junk! |

I pre-ordered this for my 2 1/2 year old twins who love this show. It arrived last week, and I'm very dissapointed. The train is surprisingly small for a cartoon aimed at young children. It's also cheaply made. The top piece of the engine fell off immediately and won't stay on. The cars don't connect well. They have enjoyed playing with it, but I doubt it will last through the month. |
